WHO Director Says China Is Lying About COVID Deaths and Withholding Vital Genetic Data

During the massive COVID epidemic, the Chinese Communists have been faking mortality statistics and withholding data on gene sequencing from international health authorities. This is after the CCP relaxed its oppressive pandemic restrictions.

This is not surprising. It’s become so severe that the government no longer publishes daily deaths from the virus. These numbers are disputed by the World Health Organization.

Tedros Adhanom Gabreyesus, director-general, stated, “we continue to ask China to provide more reliable, rapid, and consistent data on hospitalizations, deaths, and viral sequencing.” “WHO is concerned by the risk to human life in China. They have reiterated the importance of vaccination, including booster shots, to prevent hospitalizations, severe diseases, and death.”

The problem lies in the definition. What is COVID death? The United States has had its own debate on this topic, but China has lowered the meaning of COVID death to what most medical authorities consider unacceptable.

Reuters:

The definition of COVID-related deaths in the world’s largest country was reworked late last month. It now includes only COVID-caused pneumonia and respiratory failure. This raised eyebrows among international health professionals.

According to the WHO, COVID-19 should be considered a cause of death in cases where there is a “clinically compatible disease” (e.g., a probable or confirmed infection) and no unrelated cause of death (e.g., trauma).

Since the policy change, China has been reporting five to six deaths per day. However, many Chinese hospitals and funeral homes claim they are overwhelmed. International health experts foresee at least 1,000,000 COVID-related deaths in China this calendar year if nothing is done.

Experts believe that there have been between 50,000 and 250,000 deaths in the year since the outbreak of the pandemic. This would add to the estimated one million deaths. This is a ridiculous claim considering that coronavirus has been in China for at most six months in 2019-2020.

The WHO is most concerned with the latest genetic sequencing to identify potential variants in the bug’s genome that could make it more transmissible, or even fatal.

The Hill:

Ryan said that although there are no new variants in circulation, poor surveillance and inadequate vaccine coverage could lead to more deaths and missed cases.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General, reiterated his call for greater data transparency from Chinese authorities during the briefing.

Tedros stated that “We continue to request China for more reliable, rapid, and consistent data on hospitalizations, deaths, and viral sequencing.”

China is furious at countries that require Chinese travelers to undergo testing before they allow them to enter the country. It has threatened to retaliate and force all visitors to China to undergo the same process. While it may make them feel better, it doesn’t solve any problem. China caused this tragedy by locking its citizens up for two years, while various variants of the virus spread across Europe and the U.S. Our herd immunity is far superior to what China is currently experiencing.
