U.S. Officials Say Ukrainian Group Blew Up Nordstream 2

The New York Times reports that the United States believes that a pro-Ukrainian terrorist group attacked the Nordstream 2 pipeline. This may be the most significant news about the conflict in Ukraine.

This is possible because of “new” intelligence, which has been around for some time.

Washington: New intelligence reviewed by U.S. officials indicates that a pro-Ukrainian group attacked the Nord Stream Pipelines last year. This is a step towards determining who was responsible for the act of sabotage which has puzzled investigators from both sides of the Atlantic for months.

Officials from the United States claimed that there was no evidence that President Volodymyr Zilensky of Ukraine, his top lieutenants, or the perpetrators were acting under the direction of any Ukrainian officials.

Although Zelensky has been denied direct indictment by the Times, the report does not rule out the possibility of Zelensky being a proxy.

This is the second issue. Why did Germany and the United States not discuss this publicly, and why did they blame Russia? They were aware of the situation and they openly misled each other about it, even though it was not necessary.

Nordstream 2 was also important to Europe. There was a lot of pain and some countries, even those that were supportive of Ukraine, could demand the consequences. The last question is, why is this being leaked now? Seymour Hersh, an investigative journalist, published a bombshell report claiming to implicate the U.S. in this incident about a month ago. However, the report was rightly met with some suspicion.

This is an evolving story. We will keep you updated as necessary.
