Texas Gov. Shuts Down Biden’s Migrant Facility Over Sexual Assault Complaints

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott recently demanded the shutdown of a San Antonio migrant facility after allegations of child sex abuse surfaced from the Department of Family and Protective Services. The facility was set up by the government at Freeman Coliseum and had numerous complaints involving allegations of sexual assault, shortage of staff, and those in custody not being fed properly. It was also confirmed that kids who were testing positive for COVID-19 were not being separated from others in order to avoid a “super-spreader” event. And to think that the Democrats still aren’t calling this a crisis.

“The Biden Administration caused this crisis…and has repeatedly failed to address it. The administration failed to plan for the influx of children that they invited to come. Now they face allegations of despicable child abuse and neglect. This must end,” Gov. Abbott said.

He called for the Biden administration to move the 1,300 migrant children out of the facility and to where the government has the space and resources to ensure their safety. Gov. Abbott also directed the Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Rangers to investigate the child sex abuse allegations.

Other housing facilities in the area, including El Paso, Midland, and Dallas, were also set up by the federal government to house children as the surge of illegal crossings continue. While Vice President Kamala Harris was tasked with handling the border crisis, she has yet to visit the border herself or address the public about any call to action or agenda.

Gov. Abbott sent a letter to Joe Biden and calling on his administration to address the issue once and for all. He said that President Biden’s open-border policies and agenda encouraged the sending of minors to the U.S and that they have failed to prepare for the surge of illegal aliens today.

“President Biden’s disastrous decisions caused this crisis, and his administration must act now to protect these children, secure the border, and end this crisis,” the letter ends.

Just a few weeks ago, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had defended the administration’s decision to reopen a controversial migrant facility. She even said that it was the most “humane” option available and that it was necessary because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ironically enough, they weren’t following coronavirus guidelines in the facilities at all. But Psaki will most likely “circle back” to that one.

Many immigration advocates have even fought against migrant facilities since the emergency shelters are not licensed to take care of children and do not comply with the same standards of care. Under the Trump era, these migrant facilities were “concentration camps” and “kids in cages.” Under the Biden administration, these migrant facilities are overcrowded and full of sexual assault allegations. But the mainstream media doesn’t talk about it anymore. Not even AOC and her squad.
