Fox News stumbled upon something quite shocking Sunday morning. They were attempting to contact White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on a number of issues that President Joe Biden has been silent on. They wanted him to address the Taliban seizing control of Afghanistan and even seizing the presidential palace. Fox News attempted to email Psaki’s White House email address and received an auto-reply. A bot, basically.
The auto-reply states that the press secretary, AKA the voice of the White House, would not be available for the next week. The email reads that Psaki “will be out of the office from August 15th-August 22nd” and refers the press to reach out to other press officers in her absence.
While top lawmakers have called on Joe Biden’s absence, even the press secretary has gone MIA. The White House Twitter account has only shared a picture of the president being briefed on the situation as he remains on vacation in Camp David. He said he would be taking up the issue in the “next few days.”
The tweet includes Zoom screenshots of the vice president, their national security team, and senior officials. It states that they were all in conversation about the drawback of our civilian personnel in Afghanistan. They also talked about the evacuations of SIV applications, other Afghan allies, and the ongoing security situation in Kabul.
It’s a disgrace to the American people that as the capital of Afghanistan falls to the Taliban, President Joe Biden is vacationing in Camp David and Press Secretary Psaki is taking unannounced time off. He has barely acknowledged that Afghan President Ghani even fled the country.
The United States recently deployed thousands of troops to help U.S citizens and embassy members escape Kabul. The US State Department later concluded that the evacuation was complete but that “many foreign nationals, including Americans and Afghani allies, are unable to reach safety.”
According to mainstream media reports, President Biden also overruled top military commanders when authorizing the full withdrawal of American forces. Sen. Rick Scott has questioned using the 25th Amendment against Biden and asking if he is able to perform his role in the office. He said an investigation needs to take place into why the original withdrawal schedule for the troops in Afghanistan was ignored. The Wall Street Journal even suggested that Biden ignored the advice of top military commanders who were suggesting he retain a force there to maintain security.
“In so doing, he overruled his top military commanders: Gen. Frank McKenzie, the commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East; Gen. Austin Scott Miller, who led NATO forces in Afghanistan; and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Citing the risks of removing American forces to Afghan security and the U.S. Embassy, they recommended that the U.S. keep 2,500 troops in Afghanistan while stepping up diplomacy to try to cement a peace agreement,” the report reads.
For months, Biden insisted to the press and American people that the United States’ withdrawal from the Middle East was going to be “well-executed” and that there’s going to be “no circumstances where you’re going to see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy.” He even reiterated that the Taliban did not have control and was not going to take over. How could the intelligence community allow Biden to say this a dozen different times if they weren’t 100% sure? An investigation isn’t wanted, it’s needed.
While a senior official promised that President Biden would address the nation “in the next few days,” it appears that he’s going to finish out his retreat at Camp David. Town Hall reporter Spencer Brown pointed out how dangerous this is.
“Joe Biden is hiding, Jen Psaki is on vacation, Kamala Harris is MIA, and this is how the “not an evacuation” is going in Kabul after the Biden administration told us they had weeks to complete a mere reduction in civilian diplomatic staff,” Brown tweeted.
What is going on and why is the entire White House Cabinet hiding?
