Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has recently swatted away the question of whether or not he has taken a cognitive test by asking the reporter if he had taken a drug test prior to the interview. The reporter was CBS News national correspondent Errol Barnett who released this clip from the 2020 National Association of Black Journalists and National Association of Hispanic Journalists Joint Virtual Convention.
“President Trump has made your mental state a campaign topic, and when asked in June if you’d been tested for cognitive decline, you responded that you’re constantly tested, in effect because you’re in situations like this on the campaign trail. But please clarify, specifically, have you taken a cognitive test?” Barnett asked.
Biden then shot back. “No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? Come on man, that’s like saying before you got on this program, did you take a test where you’re taking cocaine or not, what do you think, huh?” He added, with a laugh, “Are you a junkie?”
In early July, Biden was asked by a reporter if he had been tested for “cognitive decline” to which he answered “I’ve been tested constantly.” Now Biden said he had not taken a cognitive test and “why the hell would I take a test?” I guess we know what the real answer is now. His random aggression, trailing sentences, and confusing points are all signs that point to early stages of dementia. This would’ve sunk most campaigns already but the Dems aren’t done embarrassing him yet.
Barnett was unfazed by this bizarre response, and persisted questioning Biden about his mental state again. Biden made a mocking reference to the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a test that President Trump had bragged about acing before, then proceeded to dodge the question a second time.
Biden then accused Barnet of trying to “goad” him and assured the reporter that he was looking forward to debating with President Trump later this year.
Later in the exchange, Biden also badly stumbled while trying to tell Barnett he was eager to have the American people judge his physical and mental fitness. Though he acts eager, Biden’s camp has been accused of working towards bailing out of the debates for some time now.
Since the beginning of his campaign, Biden had months of repeated public gaffes, slurring words, and forgetting where he was, so the fact that a reporter asked this question shouldn’t come as such a shock. He’s simply asking what we are all thinking – Can Biden run the world’s biggest economy? The answer is no.
However, Biden’s wife, Jill, has dismissed these attacks. “Oh yes, he will. I think they’ve already—I think there’s three debates they’ve decided on. So, yes. He will be there,” she told Fox News’ Dana Perino.
Biden probably doesn’t even know what he’s saying anymore. This man can’t even form a complete sentence let alone run the country. The media refuses to admit that he treats reporters worse than President Trump (though they remind Trump on the daily) and clearly has no respect for reporters and their questions. The radical left has washed all speech into their own political narrative, and if it doesn’t fit what they want, then it’s insulting and hate speech. The way Biden reacted to the question is the way the liberals have been acting the last three months over practically everything.
Biden asking a black reporter if he’s a junkie and making cocaine references for simply doing his job and getting the questions out there is racist but the media won’t acknowledge that. It is unbelievable that the Dems give President Trump such a hard time when their own candidate is so obviously in a cognitive decline. This can’t be ignored anymore and this is why we have debates. Joe Biden cannot run our country. Period.
