Gavin Newsom Pushes Gun Control Before Details Of Texas School Shooting Known

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), responded to the reports of a school shooting at Uvalde in Texas on Tuesday, pushing for more gun control, before any details were known.

Breitbart News reported that 14 students and a teacher were killed by an 18-year old attacker who opened fire on Robb Elementary School in Uvalde Texas.

ABC 13 reported that the shooting suspect shot his grandmother before entering school.

Newsom responded by tweeting:

Newsom’s call to gun control is made before any reports are available on the attacker’s guns or motive.

Newsom did not specify the gun type used at the time of Newsom tweet. NBC News stated that the suspect shooter might have used a rifle and handgun.

Newsom called for nationwide comprehensive, commonsense gun security now.
