Cassie’s Lawyer Slams Diddy’s ‘Disingenuous’ Apology Video Amid Celeb Reactions to Hotel Assault Statement

Cassie’s legal team responded after Sean “Diddy Combs” apologized for his actions in light of the recent distribution of video footage showing Combs slapping his then-girlfriend in a Los Angeles hotel back in 2016.

Meredith Firetog is a partner with Wigdor LLP and represents Ventura. She said that “Combs’ most recent statement spoke more about him than the victims he has injured. ”

His dishonesty won’t move anyone.

Combs broke his silence Sunday on the video from eight years ago which just began making the rounds Friday, and said his “behavior on that video is inexcusable.”

CNN obtained an exclusive video clip showing the rapper running in a towel down a hallway in a hotel. Cassie (Cassandra Ventura) had just walked along the same hall moments earlier, carrying her bags toward the elevators.

Combs grabbed Cassie and threw it to the floor. Combs kicked Cassie twice, grabbed Cassie’s bag, and dragged Cassie back down the hall.

Combs, sitting next to Cassie, threw the vase at the wall where the phone was mounted.

Reflecting on your darkest moments is difficult, but necessary. I accept responsibility for the actions that I took in that video.

Combs said, “I did it and I was horrified. I am even more disgusted now. I need professional help. I will go to therapy and rehab.”

“I’m sorry. ”

Aubrey O’Day wasn’t impressed by Combs’ apology video. Former member of the all-girl band Danity Kane, she is now a vocal critic.

Diddy apologized to Cassie, but not to him. He apologized to the whole world.

“He says he’s ‘disgusted w himself now, and he was disgusted w himself then’… but he wasn’t disgusted enough w himself to not PIN this statement out calling her a liar & denying all of it… leave god and mercy out of this, they aren’t present here, and you know it.”

O’Day attached Combs’s first denial after Cassie’s extensive sexual assault suit against Cassie’s former in November. A day after Cassie filed the lawsuit, an undisclosed amount was settled.

Combs’ other longtime rival, 50 Cent also spoke up to express his feelings about the apology.

This won’t work. Now who is advising him? 50 Cent said, “SMH was a bad move.”

After releasing this video on Saturday, the LA District Attorney’s Office released a statement. It confirmed that the rapper “cannot” be prosecuted due to statutes.

The DA stated online that “at this time, law enforcement agencies do not have a criminal case filed against Mr. Combs for the assault depicted in the video.” We urge anyone who is a victim or witness to a crime to contact law enforcement agencies and our office.

Homeland Security Investigation officials combed Combs’ Los Angeles, and Miami homes in March to investigate human trafficking. The target of the investigation by a federal agency is not clear.

Aaron Dyer was Combs’ lawyer at the time and he called the raids “a gross overuse of military-level force”.

Combs has been sued by Liza Gardner and Jane Doe in addition to Dickerson-Neal. Music producer Rodney is also suing Combs.
