Calling Biden: Number of Illegal Immigrant Arrests Reaches Record One-Year-High

The south border situation was so dire during the Biden administration that more than two million immigrants were held in just eleven months. This is a new threshold.

The problem wasn’t caused by their lax immigration policy, but instead, officials from the Biden administration blamed Latin American countries, The Washington Post reported.

Chris Magnus (Customs and Border Protection Commissioner) stated that the “failing communist governments of Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba have driven an unprecedented wave of migration across the Western Hemisphere,” and used this excuse to say that processing and removal are difficult for those fleeing oppressive regimes. ”

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has arrested 203 598 Mexican immigrants who arrived in the United States from Mexico in August. As the Post predicted, more than 2.3 Million arrests could have occurred between September 2021 to September 20,22 if this pace of immigration continues.

Officials from the Biden administration point to Trump’s Title 42 emergency medical policy as a solution for some of the problems. According to them, some immigrants attempted to cross again the border after they were sent back to Mexico.

Comparable to the eight years of the Obama presidency, the Biden administration’s performance in immigration has been poor. Since Biden’s inauguration, Border Patrol has made 3,484,327 illegal immigrant arrests in the past 20 months. This is in contrast to the 3,384,816 illegal immigrants arrested during Obama’s eighth fiscal year.

According to a September New York Times/Siena Poll, 51% to 37% of respondents agreed with Republican Party regarding illegal immigration than with Democratic Party.

Texas GOP Rep. Mayra Flores said that she had never seen anything like it before… The millions of people coming into the country and the abuse they are experiencing by women and children.

“It’s been an amazing storm,” stated Ken Oliver, Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Right on Immigration Program, Washington. “The flow is getting worse in terms of the number of countries involved.”

One border agent said that they are apprehending individuals “left and right”.

Some immigrants were informed by smugglers that Biden’s immigration policy was more welcoming to them. This idea was shared via WhatsApp chats, Facebook posts, and Twitter. This inspired more immigrants to attempt to cross the U.S. frontier.
