Two bungling vandals set themselves on fire by setting themselves on fire in a California small business security camera.
Max Solorzano released the footage as the owner of Bakersfield’s immigration services company. Bakersfield is two hours North of Los Angeles. The footage was taken on New Year’s Day.
Two cameras capture two separate shots of two men in dark clothes and covered faces approaching the building to spray an accelerant onto them.
The fire lit up and flashed towards them. They extinguished the flames and ran away from the business. As he realizes that he is on fire, one of the suspects can clearly be heard screaming.
According to firefighters, they were able to respond within 10 minutes to the fire and bring it under control to reduce the damage.
Solorzano stated that his company provided legal services for immigrants as well as tax preparation. He suggested that the city should do more to protect the business.
He said, “They need to work harder in this aspect, in maintaining the safety of the community.” “We are small and help many people so inactivity will result in people not being able to access our services.”
Later, he claimed that the business was also robbed because his cameras had been damaged and he wasn’t notified as he would normally be.
The motive for the attack and no suspects have been identified.
Solorzano continued, “We help many farmworker families with their immigration process, we help people do taxes.” “We ask clients to be patient with us. We will get through it.”
Bakersfield has seen numerous house fires, which many belief are caused by homeless people living in abandoned homes.
