A Texas man has been sentenced for child sexual abuse and possession of child sex abuse material to more than 400 years in prison.
Bo Michael Dresner of San Marcos, Texas, was arrested when a child accused Dresner of sexual abuse. The investigators found evidence that Dresner had abused another child.
Affidavits claim that one of the victims claims Dresner had given her a melatonin pill and an unknown drug “to help her sleep.” She claimed that she woke up to find her clothes gone and he was touching her inappropriately.
Dresner was sentenced by Judge Gary Steel of the 274th District Court to four consecutive sentences each lasting 75 years. Dresner was sentenced to prison for four counts of sexual abuse of children.

Dresner, a former attorney general of the state of California, was indicted on 65 counts by a federal jury on March 4, 2008. Dresner changed his plea the day before, and one of his biological daughters as well as a minor who lived at his home were to testify.
Dresner was stopped by a Hays County deputy during the investigation and given a ticket for ONE WAY to Armenia. Armenia has no extradition treaty with the U.S.
Dresner had been accused of child molestation in the past. In 2005, he pleaded guilty in Minnesota to the abuse of a 15-year-old child. However, he received a lighter sentence.
Kelly Higgins said that in 2012, one of the children convicted of sexual abuse had made a complaint to him. Law enforcement failed to fully investigate the allegations, and the child was sent back to Dresner’s house.
Dresner served as a precinct chairperson for the Hays County Republican Party. Dresner also served as sergeant-at-arms.
