Donald Trump, the former president, stated Sunday that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was a “disaster” for the Republican Party and that it desperately needs new leadership. Trump said that McConnell had made a mistake allowing President Biden’s bipartisan infrastructure bill to be passed in the Senate during a Fox News interview from Mar-a-Lago, Fla.

It’s not infrastructure, but un-frastructure that I call it. The former president stated that it was only 9% infrastructure.

“There was no way this should have been passed. He said that it should have been 100% for infrastructure. “So, what’s going on is that we had the debt ceiling and he could have used it to win everything. But he chose to not.”

“Mitch McConnell is a disaster. He said that Republicans need a new leader.

Trump stated that Congress doesn’t need more “Mitch McConnell-type men” and that voters should elect “tougher” people to represent conservatives at the 2022 midterms.
