National Humanities Medal-winning scholar Thomas Sowell was recently interviewed on Sunday night’s episode of Fox News “Life, Liberty & Levin” by Mark Levin about systemic racism. “You hear it from very wealthy and fabulously famous sports stars. What does it mean? And whatever it means, is it true?” Levin asked Sowell, to which he said it has no definitive meaning at all actually.
“It really has no meaning that can be specified and tested in the way that one tests hypotheses. It does remind me of the propaganda tactics of Joseph Goebbels during the age of the Nazis, which he supposed to have said, ‘People will believe any lie if it is repeated long enough and loud enough,” Sowell responded.
He goes on to explain that systemic racism is one of the words that is used by people who have no clear idea of what they are even saying with the one clear purpose of having people cave in. The liberals washing everything on the media with this term are hypocrites for claiming they want equality for all but are withering away from police departments. Every time you look at a Marxist state, you see it is an authoritarian, top-down, and centralized police state.
This isn’t the first time Sowell has discussed systemic racism. On Levin’s radio show back from June 29, 2020 Sowell discussed that when you ask a factual question about this term you expect to get a factual answer, but that’s never the case.
In a lot of movements related to BLM, activists talk about “destroying the nuclear family structure” which in many cases crumbles the black communities in terms of poverty issues as opposed to building them up. Sowell came across poverty rates between blacks and whites.
22% of blacks were in poverty and 11% of whites were in poverty. The numbers showed though that the poverty rate among black married couples was 7.5%. “In other words, black married couples not only have a lower poverty rate than blacks as a whole, they have a lower poverty rate than whites as a whole.” Sowell explained.
This is a type of systemic racism that can be proven through statistics and numbers, as Democrats look to destroy the family structure and create compensation programs such as child support and welfare programs that benefit couples more when divorced.
Sowell also spoke of how this year’s election is one of the most important in history and how crucial it is. If the election goes to Joe Biden, the Democrats will control Congress and who knows what sort of absurd ideas will be proposed. Thomas Sowell has been one of the treasured voices of sanity, reason, rational thought, and morality in a sea of chaos and insane voices.
