Super Bowl Soars with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce-Themed Flights Added

U.S. Airlines are adding more flights to their schedules to transport passengers from and to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl, which will be held this year between the Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Francisco 49ers.

After the Chiefs’ and 49ers’ championship games, the carriers increased flights to and from their cities as well as other major hubs.

The flight numbers also give a nod towards Taylor Swift who is dating Kansas City tight-end Travis Kelce.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift celebrate after a 17-10 win against the Baltimore Ravens at the AFC Championship Game held at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on January 28, 2024.

United Airlines announced that it has added 15 new direct flights to Vegas, including six from Kansas City, five from San Francisco, and four from San Jose.

The following flights will take you to Las Vegas: 1989, 2287, and 1587.

United informed us that this is a tribute to “the favorite Chiefs’ power pair,” as the number is a mixture of Kelce’s jersey number and one of Swift’s albums.

Flight 1989 is a reference to Swift’s birthday, as well as the name of an album she has recently re-recorded. Flight 1587 is the combination of Kelce’s jersey number and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Flight 1995, the last time the 49ers won the Super Bowl, will also be flown to the game.

American Airlines has also added two flights – Flight 1989 & Flight 87

Delta Air Lines has announced that it will add 16 new flights from Kansas City, San Francisco, and New York to Las Vegas.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, on Jan. 28 2024 in Santa Clara California, celebrates a touchdown after the third quarter of the NFC Championship Game against the Detroit Lions.

Southwest Airlines has announced 27 nonstop flight options to Las Vegas for February 8th and as many as 33 nonstop flight options the next day.

There will be eight nonstop flights to Las Vegas on the day of the game, with two more flights added on February 10.
