Salon Owner Says Pelosi’s Hair Appointment Last Year Destroyed Her Business

It’s been nearly a year since House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tried to blame a local San Francisco hair salon for washing her hair and having it blow out despite COVID-19 restrictions. She even walked around the salon without a mask on while being serviced by an independent stylist. After facing ridicule for her powerful display of hypocrisy, Pelosi fought back and blamed the salon owner for being “set up.” But Erica Kious, the salon owner, said Pelosi is the only one to blame for being exposed.

At the Heritage Action’s Save Our Paychecks Tour kick-off event, Kious shared how the scandal with Pelosi getting her hair washed blew up on mainstream media and made her lose her business. She admits that she thought if she ever lost her business it would be to an earthquake or something similar. She never thought she would lose her business to leftist politics.

Kious emphasized how she never set Pelosi up and that she’s had cameras in there since she opened. She also noted that she was traveling at the time she saw the footage of Pelosi walking around maskless. At the time, nearly 40,000 small businesses had been closed in California due to COVID-19 restrictions. While salons had been closed since March 2020, they were set to reopen on Sept.1 for outdoor hairstyling services only.

“I went through the exact footage of her walking through my reception area with no mask. I literally felt like she took a knife and stabbed me in the stomach. … I know inside me what she did was wrong, completely wrong,” Kious said.

Kious shared the footage in hope that more people would catch on to the Speaker’s hurtful display of hypocrisy. But it did more bad than good and she was attacked for exposing Pelosi. In the video, Pelosi can be seen walking around the salon with wet hair and without a mask over her mouth or nose. The stylist can be seen wearing a black face mask.

She told Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that the visit destroyed her business and how she started receiving a ton of phone calls, texts, emails, and Yelp reviews of people saying they hope the business fails. She said she received a lot of negativity towards the business at the time. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Speaker Pelosi is not wearing a mask and having a beauty parlor opened while constantly lecturing everyone else about the dangers of the pandemic.

After the incident, protesters even gathered outside of Pelosi’s home and started stringing up curlers and blowdryers on a tree.

While you could place some of the blame on the independent stylist (not the salon owner) for taking and performing the service in the first place, Pelosi is a public official breaking the laws she helped create. Doesn’t make for a great government. Pelosi was there of her own free will and chose to violate the laws she knew were in place. That’s not being set up, that’s getting caught. The party of personal responsibility never takes any responsibility and always thinks they are above the law. Pelosi’s luck will eventually run out.
