According to footage released Sunday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was caught without a mask at a Miami bar with a lot of people. According to Florida’s Conservative Voice, the large crowd at the drag-bar, many of whom were also wearing no masks, applauded as the congresswoman waved to them.
“For those who have zero sense of humor: The whole point of this article is to expose hypocrisy. We don’t care that she is maskless. We care that she fears Florida, but then has the temerity to go on vacation there,” said Brendon Leslie (the reporter who tweeted the first video).
Ocasio-Cortez’s native New York state has seen an unprecedented rise in COVID-19-related cases due to the spread of the Omicron variant.
Leslie also assured his readers he didn’t intend to date the congresswoman. This apparent reference is to last week when Ocasio Cortez said that her critics were motivated by “sexual frustrations,” when they called her out following the National Review report that she was seen in Miami maskless.
The outlet published a photo showing the congresswoman enjoying a drink at a restaurant with her boyfriend.
Ocasio Cortez tweeted, “If Republicans are mad that they can’t be with me, they can just say it instead of projecting all their sexual frustrations onto my boy’s feet.” This was in response to Steve Cortes (former Trump campaign advisor), who took a swipe at her choice of sandal.
It’s getting old to ignore the obvious, bizarre, and deranged sexual frustrations which underpin the Republican fixation upon me, women, and LGBT+ people in general. These people need therapy and won’t get it. They use politics instead. Ocasio Cortez said that it was “really weird”.
