Patriots Captain Jabrill Peppers Arrested on Shocking Assault, Strangulation, and Drug Charges

Police said that Patriots Captain Jabrill Peppers was arrested on Saturday for assault, strangulation, and other charges after a disturbance in a house.

Peppers, 29 was due to appear in Quincy District Court Monday to face the charges. These included assault and battery using a dangerous weapon, and possession of Class “B” substances believed to be Cocaine, according to an official police press release.

He was arrested on Saturday morning.

Braintree Police said that they were called by two individuals to an altercation at a residence. They said that one person was treated in the home.

Peppers’ lawyer was not immediately known. No phone number was found for him.

On a Monday press conference, coach Jerod Mayo said that the team was still gathering information about Peppers’ arrest. They will then proceed from there. Peppers is now allowed to use the Patriots facilities. The team has addressed the situation.

Mayo stated, “We don’t have enough information to say that he shouldn’t be inside the building.”

Peppers, who is a safety currently in his third year with the Patriots, signed a contract extension this summer.

Peppers did not play in Sunday’s Patriots loss of 15-10 to the Miami Dolphins. He is currently dealing with a shoulder problem.
