Ocasio-Cortez Series Of Ranting Tweets Backfires

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been a constant critic of the efforts brought by the Republican Party since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She has built her credit as a first-term lawmaker through online savviness and pointing the blame at others, rather than fighting to create a difference and bring change.

She slammed the federal Paycheck Protection Program on Twitter and suggested that the GOP played favorites in deciding which businesses and organizations received the funding. She said black-owned small businesses were widely shut down from accessing the loans, while “right-wing disinfo org PV” took half a million in public money and criticized the assistance as radical socialism. “Republicanism in a nutshell,” she tweeted.

U.S Sen. Marco Rubio, however, pointed out that the Democrats and Republicans who worked together on the PPP Program helped save the jobs of 55 million Americans. He has been on the frontlines of the Senate’s Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee dedicated to helping small businesses keep employees on their payroll during COVID-19 shutdowns, rather than lay them off. “Work more, tweet less & one day you too can make a difference,” Rubio tweeted in response.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez also slammed parts of the bipartisan bill for prioritizing enacting liability protections to shield companies operating in the pandemic from lawsuits. While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi calls that “disgraceful,” others argue that leaving U.S businesses exposed to lawyers who are grabbing all of the COVID-19 lawsuits they can get is disgraceful. Why would Democrats oppose this? Because it is the trial lawyers’ lobbying that makes up 95% of Democrats political donations.

“If you’re on the brink of an eviction or if you’re behind on six months of bills, you need that check, you need the check, and state and local funding isn’t going to help you,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Others pointed out that state and local funding, as well as the PP Program, has saved them rather than the federal government that has only sent out one $1,200 stimulus check since March.

Ocasio-Cortez has consistently painted herself as a hardworking lawmaker, even though her tweets have done nothing but added fuel to the fire. In a series of recent tweets, the New York Democrat once again pointed out the work ethic she brings to Congress every day. She called out conservative Senators for not understanding that she has had a physically difficult working-class job without good healthcare for most of her life. She wrote about her times of being a waitress and crying during a double shift.

People were angered over Ocasio-Cortez radical stereotyping that all Republicans are lazy. Conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro pointed out that she seems to be the only person making a career whining about it and selling $60 sweatshirts to decry a capitalist system online. This references the ironic “Tax the Rich” shirts she was selling with her namesake for a whopping $58.

The most notable comment came from GOP Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin who called out the narcissist for not being the only person who had to waitress through high school to save up for college.

“You know how many hard-working, selfless American workers cont to do so? With babies to care for, elderly parents to tend to, businesses to run, voluntarily helping others, working second-and-third jobs, etc without whining and drawing the self-attention for which you’re known? Pulling one’s self up from the bootstraps is inspiring, rewarding – and expected. We call it The American Dream,” Palin tweeted.

Liberals always believe they are entitled to a seat of judgment or think they are special for having one hard job in their life. We’ve all had hard jobs and it doesn’t mean anything. It’s the same thing that happens when one kid calls out the game for being “unfair” and they have to start passing out participation trophies. Ocasio-Cortez is that kid.
