Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen numerous politicians and companies endorsing Republicans when they haven’t done so in years. We’ve seen lifelong Democrats turn Republican in the public eye and shame the radical left for politicizing race, COVID-19, and everything in between. Enough is enough.
One of Pennsylvania’s top newspapers, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, just recently endorsed President Donald Trump for reelection. This is a significant moment because the newspaper has not endorsed a Republican candidate for nearly a half-century. This is also critical because Pennsylvania is a critical state in winning the White House.
The newspaper questioned whether or not we were looking at the right attributes in our next President. While preferring the first-class temperament and demeanor of figures like Franklin Roosevelt or Winston Churchill, you can take a look at President Trump’s record and see that the economy, pre-COVID-19, is booming.
The article discusses the President’s success in lowering unemployment rates for black Americans like no one has ever seen, improving trade deals and relationships, putting America first, appointing originalists to the Supreme Court, and achieving energy independence for the first time in the lifetimes of most of us.
“Isn’t the real question whether he has been taking the country, and the economy of this region, in the right direction these last four years? Can we separate the man from the record?” The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette asked.
Now all of the liberals are trying to cancel the newspaper for exercising their freedom of speech. President Trump is a businessman, not a politician. He knows how to get things done, whether or not it “looks” nice. Politicians are used to working in the public eye and saying what the people want to hear, whether or not it’s true.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette pointed out why the Biden-Harris ticket is far more dangerous than another four years of President Trump. Biden offers higher taxes and looks at snuggling with the “woke” in tearing our country down rather than learning from history. They would end fracking and cost the economy and people their jobs when they need it most.
“This newspaper has not supported a Republican for president since 1972. But we believe Mr. Trump, for all his faults, is the better choice this year. We respect and understand those who feel otherwise,” the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette wrote.
Every day, we see more people turning a blind eye to the biased media and doing their own research. Sure, President Trump may have not been a typical presidential candidate, but his numbers say it all. He’s getting the job done and doing more in 47 months than Joe Biden has done in 47 years.
