Ice Cube Bashes Democratic Party

Fans of rapper Ice Cube have been outraged after he talked about working with the Trump Administration to set policies meant to help the black community prosper through his platinum plan. People accused the rapper of “betraying” the black community for working with the President, even though the Biden Administration refused to talk about his plan until after the election.

The “Contract With Black America” Platinum Plan focuses on four pillars of opportunity, security, prosperity, and fairness. It creates 3 million new jobs for the black community, increases access to capital in black communities by almost $500 billion, works on black economic empowerment and access to capital, reduces costs for affordable and cheaper healthcare, provides more education opportunities, and continues to make improvements to the criminal justice system.

“Facts: I put out the CWBA. Both parties contacted me. Dems said we’ll address the CWBA after the election. The Trump campaign made some adjustments to their plan after talking to us about the CWBA,” Ice Cube tweeted.

He also bashed Sen. Kamala Harris and went on to say that he wanted to have a “serious conversation” and not just a rally call. He had been invited on a Zoom call with 12 other entertainers all talking about what they believe needs to be done. He didn’t find that productive at all. Ice Cube made it clear that the Democratic Party was willing to look at his contract after the election, meaning “vote Democrat.”

While many people have attacked Ice Cube for not endorsing the Biden presidential ticket, he said that he was simply following actions over words. He went on to say that the situation of the black community didn’t change under former President Obama and that communities need financial help and commitment.

“You see what I mean? So we have to clean up ourselves, we have been poisoned by this society, we have been poisoned by trying to live like the people who have oppressed us. And what they are attracted to, we are attracted to. We coulda come out of that, we gotta be our own people,” Ice Cube said.

At no point did Ice Cube say he endorsed Trump. He said he is simply working with whatever political party is willing to work with him. If the Democratic Party isn’t willing to work with him until after Nov. 3, then it’s pretty clear. They have no interest at all. They just want his vote.
