Media Erupts Over Latest Trump ‘Scandal’—His Visit to Arlington National Cemetery

Press members are having a major meltdown about Donald Trump’s visit to Arlington National Cemetery.

We reported previously that the former president was at a ceremony honoring the servicemen who died in the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Gold Star families invited him to attend, and many have criticized the administration for its nonchalance.

The current president was infamous for checking his watch several times when receiving the corpses of deceased servicemembers from Dover Air Force Base. The president also brought up his son who died from cancer after leaving the military in a manner that was perceived by many family members as insulting and dismissive.

If there is anything that should make you angry, it would be the way the Biden Administration, including Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and others, has repeatedly ignored these Gold Star Families. What is MSNBC reporting? What’s the big story?

It’s difficult to imagine the unearned arrogance of a cable news talking head who would essentially denigrate the Gold Star Families that wanted Trump to attend. I can only assume that their opinions are irrelevant when compared to the collective moral superiority of Mike Barnicle, and Joe Scarborough.

There are contradictory reports as to whether Harris or Biden were personally asked to attend the event. However, I know that both men could have made a public statement about the anniversary. Biden remained on vacation for the second week, while Harris did not hold any other events. It is absurd to then bring up Trump who came out to honor the fallen.

One of the complaints is that Trump took a picture smiling with Gold Star Families. What a nitpicker. Arlington National Cemetery may be a somber place, but if those who have lost loved ones wish to take pictures, then you should take them. Intellectually honest people should not be upset by this.

The American press is a different story. Instead of blaming Harris for the tragic withdrawal that led to the deaths of these servicemembers (which she took credit for), they are outraged at the guy who dared say their names and was there when their families called.
