In Texas District 28, Henry Cuellar and Jessica Cisneros Are Only a Handful of Votes Apart

The Democratic primary in Texas House District 28, which was one of the most important races in Tuesday’s primary, was one of the main races. We noted that

Cuellar has essentially become a unicorn — a pro-abortion, border-control Democrat — so there is no comparison between him and Cisneros. This one is sure to cause a lot of tongue-twisting from pundits about what it might signal regarding Latino voters’ preferences.

Decision Desk HQ has not yet called the race, but the Texas Observer gives Cuellar the edge: “Anti-Abortion Democrat Henry Cuellar Appears To Prevail Despite FBI Cloud.” There are three guesses about which direction the Observer leans – and the first two don’t count.
