Oh hey, it’s almost time for the #MeToo movement again. Mayor Lori Lightfoot has said that she will never accept President Trump’s federal officers he wants to send to help stop the riots in her city and that he is clearly engaging in a “targeted sexist campaign” against Democratic female mayors and targeting her because she is a woman.
“The president has been on a campaign now for some time against Democratic mayors across the country. Whether it’s me, whether it’s Keisha Lance Bottoms in Atlanta, whether it’s Muriel Bowser in Washington, D.C., whether it’s Jenny Durkan in Seattle – do you see a common theme here?” Lightfoot asked.
Mayor Lightfoot has condemned the decision to send the federal officials to Chicago. Mind you, this makes her clearly delusional. Her, as well as all these Democratic mayors, are failing their cities and letting radical leftists spiral crime and violence out of control claiming the cause is all to defund and cut the police out entirely. Most say it is “only” to defund the police, but as we look closer and closer at the BLM’s goals, they want America to crumble entirely.
Even Chicago has had issues where Antifa and BLM rioters have attacked police at the Christopher Columbus statue. The cops were outnumbered by the hundreds and many of them prepared to ambush the cops. Forty nine cops were injured. 15 people were shot at a funeral as well in Chicago as their horrible shooting numbers have spiked.
Chicago police superintendents say there are 117,000 gang members in 55 major gangs in 747 factions in the city. There are several hundred gang conflicts that occur everyday. Chicago politicians, mostly Major Lightfoot, don’t know how hard their decisions will become if they continue to blame the city’s violence on sexism, racism, and everything else. Their cities will burn before their eyes by the hands of their own community members. Innocent people, even children, are dying under Lightfoot’s leadership and Chicago needs help.
And of course, after President Trump had a conversation with Lightfoot Wednesday evening, she is now in agreement with him sending in the agents. President Trump reached out to confirm these plans that he will send federal resources to Chicago to supplement ongoing federal investigations pertaining to violent crime.
Though she has vowed to turn away the feds and join this “anti-police crusade” she has now decided to plug federal agents into these existing operations and pursue all available legal options to protect the citizens of Chicago.
Basically, Mayor Lightfoot knows she needs help but, as a liberal, she has played to her stubborn base to seem so tough against Trump in doing so. It’s absolutely ludicrous how far Democrats will go to make everything political instead of just working together to solve the issues they created in the first place.
