Lee’s representative said in a statement: “As confirmed today by management, legendary guitarist Jake E. Lee was shot several times this morning on a Las Vegas street.”
The statement went on to say that Lee was “fully conscious and doing very well in the intensive care unit of a Las Vegas Hospital.” “He will fully recover.”
The statement said, “Las Vegas police believe the shooting to be completely random, and it occurred as Lee was taking his dog for a morning walk. As the police are investigating, we will not be making any further statements. Lee and his family are grateful for the respect of their privacy during this time.”
