Former Clinton adviser Naomi Wolf appeared on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to talk about what the Democrat Party has become and warn the American people that the party she once loved is becoming a ‘totalitarian state before everyone’s eyes.’
Just days after the 2020 presidential election, Wolf tweeted, “If I’d known Biden was open to ‘lockdowns’ as he now states, which is something historically unprecedented in any pandemic, and a terrifying practice, one that won’t ever end because elites love it, I would never have voted for him.”
Wolf previously authored a book that outlined the ten steps that “would-be tyrants always take when they want to close down a democracy” and said she believes the United States was already headed towards step 10. She said more people need to wake up quickly because, as history shows, there is only a small window in which people can fight back before it’s too dangerous.
“Whether they are on the left or the right, they do these same ten things and now we’re at something I never thought I would see in my lifetime … it is step 10 and that is the suspension of the rule of law and that is when you start to be a police state, and we’re here. There is no way around it,” Wolf said.
She told Carlson that states have now crushed businesses, kept us from gathering in free assembly to worship, invaded our bodies, restricted our movement, and fined us all for it. State leaders have used emergency powers to strip us of all the rights the Constitution guarantees. She said that corporate power and government power were merging into the national level, charactered as something of “totalism fascism in the 20’s.”
The Biden Administration seems to be keeping with the intent of keeping America in a state of lockdown. Press Secretary Jen Psaki recently told reporters that there are many more months of “suffering” and ‘sacrifice” ahead for America, despite the fact the vaccine rollout has been so successful. White House medical experts have been changing along the tune with whatever the administration needs to happen.
Tucker agreed with Wolf that this is where the party line disappears and is no longer a partisan thing. Wolf called the United State’s response to the pandemic “completely unprecedented” and that they are quickly moving into a “coup situation” and “police state situation.”
70 million Americans voted to put all of their faith into the government to provide their every need and keep them “safe.” All we’ve seen are decreasing human rights, decreasing human freedoms, job losses, sweeping policy changes, and more power being handed off to a handful of people. That is totalitarian rule.
