Billionaire Bill Ackman Backs Trump: The Money Train Rolls In

Bill Ackman, CEO of Pershing Square Capital and hedge fund manager, followed Elon Musk and fellow billionaire CEO and X owner Elon Musk by endorsing Donald Trump as the presumptive GOP candidate and former president.

Ackman, who has frequently used his X-account to show his support for Trump and his goals in the past, decided to formally state his intention and explain his reasoning after Saturday’s attempted assassination of Trump.

I will officially endorse @realDonaldTrump. This decision was made some time ago, as many of my @X followers already knew from my posts supporting Trump and criticizing @POTUS Biden.

It is because I would like to fully explain my thoughts and respond to the arguments made by others who are against Trump. I want to present my case thoughtfully and convincingly.

Biden supporters, who are familiar with me, tend to think that I am crazy when I announce my intention to support Trump. I can assure you that this was a rational decision, based on empirical data, made with care.

My thinking will require a lengthy post.

Ackman outlined his reasons in detail. He shared his first-hand observations about Trump and explained how the media’s gaslighting and narrative pushing have contributed to people’s negative views of him.

As always, I respect the right of everyone to express their opinions and views on this important issue. Keep an open mind about the upcoming presidential elections. Remember that your opinions on Trump may have been influenced by mainstream media, or by friends and family who have used mainstream media to get their information.

The debate has taught us all that we can’t rely on MSM to tell the truth about the ultimate question of politics.

Media organizations are similar to sports teams. They run plays that their owners choose and execute by the coaches hired by them. They are not impartial arbiters of truth.

He is preaching to the congregation. Ackman, like Musk, has political views that do not align with the Democratic Party or leftists. Ackman has been open in his criticism of President Joe Biden’s leadership abilities, even before the debate in June. He spoke to CNBC’s Squawkbox in January in response to the then-president of Harvard University, Claudine Gay, who had allowed anti-Semitic activity and protests. Ackman explained why he felt that way about Biden and referred to his political views.

Ackman made these remarks in an interview with CNBC’s Squawkbox about his recent political activities following the Harvard University antisemitism controversy. Ackman, when asked about his views on the 2024 presidential elections, said that Biden is not fit for office.

Ackman stated, “I’ve always been a moderate, and I have always supported whoever was best for the nation — Republican, Independent, Democrat.” “I believe it’s important that Biden step aside.”

He added, “I think that a large part of what is happening in the geopolitical world right now, is because he has been perceived as weak.” He will be even more weak.”

Ackman replied, “I will decide once I have the option.”

Saturday’s attempted assassination of Trump appears to have cemented his decision. Ackman also re-posted an Ayaan Hirsi Ali article about the conditions that led to Saturday’s horrific events and expressed his agreement with it.

. @Ayaan writes a very sobering and insightful piece about the events that led up to yesterday’s attempted assassination. We must return American politics to the competition of the best ideas with the best leaders who can implement them.

Ackman has no problem confronting his billionaire friends who are still supporting Biden. He also challenges their party orthodoxy and the demonization of Trump.

This morning, a friend who hates Trump and supports Biden complained that I was being narcissistic for sharing my opinions publicly about the presidential election. She said that I should not share my views.

I told my friend that being a good person includes participating in the political system. If you believe that one candidate would be better for your country in the long run than another candidate, then you should do everything possible to support that candidate.

This is not narcissism. This is patriotism. We all have an obligation.

Ackman has taken his position, and this “counting,” will no doubt involve counting cash. A new money car has joined the Trump Train to fuel its momentum. Trump’s leadership and bravery in the aftermath of the assassination attempt launched the campaign into orbit. Trump’s unstoppable power is growing with the Republican National Convention beginning on Monday and these important endorsements.
