98-Year-Old WWII Vet Steals the Show at RNC: ‘If Trump Were President, I’d Re-Enlist Today’

The Republican National Convention has seen many powerful speeches from top-level GOP officials, but Sgt. William Pekrul’s amazing patriotic speech, which enthused the crowd to chant “USA!”

He recalled the sacrifices that he, and many others in our country, made to keep our country safe and fight Nazis during World War II. He also bemoaned what had happened to the great nation of America under Joe Biden’s disastrous leadership.

He told the crowd that America was still worth fighting for.

I will never forget the horror of the Nazi war camps during the Battle of the Bulge. We fought together to stop the Nazis’ last major part on the Western Front. You may have thought that Hitler had died months earlier, but he was not. The Nazis had been defeated. We gave God thanks for saving us from evil.

Not many of us returned home. I miss many of my friends. On that beach. [Shake off emotion.] There are not many of us here today. For us, the few of us here… America still deserves to be fought for! [Raised hand as the crowd cheered.] The smile on his face when he was recognized by the crowd was priceless.

He ripped into the current Biden and Harris administration, exposing their numerous failures.

The actions of our president and vice-president, who I so deeply love, hurt my heart. They humiliated the United States in Afghanistan and China.

People say that America is an Idea. But I do believe. America is so much more. America, America is home. [Crowd chants ‘USA’ as he pumps fists in the air.]

You know that I was in Europe fighting and I returned home. I kissed it. I am so grateful to be back in my own country.

The most amazing moment in the speech was when Pekrul stated that he would still fight for the soul and nation.

When someone comes to me and asks for my home you just dig your boots into the ground, never look back. This is the attitude that has saved the world.

If President Trump were to return as commander-in-chief, I’d reenlist right now.

I will go to any beach that my country tells me to. God bless you. God bless you, your family, and the United States of America.
