The Scam Behind Biden’s Plan

As part of Biden’s new $2 trillion climate plan, the one that costs millions of jobs in America, he has promised to shift America away from gas-powered vehicles through executive action on the first day of his presidency.

In the first part of his campaign’s plan for “clean energy” the former vice president has vowed to “reverse all damage” Trump has done, but go further and faster. Whatever that means.

The plan states that the Biden Administration would make immediate progress on their climate agenda. They would require aggressive methane pollution limits for new and existing oil and gas operations. They also want to develop rigorous new fuel economy standards aimed at ensuring 100% of new sales for light and medium-duty vehicles.

Outlawing the sale and production of gas-powered vehicles in the United States does not necessarily eliminate the internal combustible engine. The technology behind electric cars in terms of its effectiveness in reducing carbon emissions has not been perfected. Having more electric cars on the road could actually increase pollution, due to the emissions that come from producing electricity.

The average plug-in produces as much CO2 over its lifetime as a gas-powered car that gets 55 miles per gallon. The research comparing electric vehicles to traditional combustion cars are comparing them to older, gas-guzzling models instead of the newest internal combustion engines, which only release 1% of the pollution they emitted 50 years ago.

According to the I&I editorial board, plug-in electrics account for 0.5% of cars on the road and make up less than 2% of new vehicles sold in 2019. The electric vehicles mainly benefit the rich, and to strip the free market to create more “efficient” cars is not working towards a green future.

The term “zero emission” is so wildly unbelievable that it’s a wonder how anyone gets away with using it. The plug-in electric cars don’t emit pollutants from their tailpipes, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t contribute to pollution at all. It just means the source of the pollution moves from the car to a power plant, which pumps out CO2 in copious amounts, depending on its energy source. So, that means every time an electric car gets recharged, it’s contributing to additional CO2 emissions.

Biden’s plan is a socialist manifesto that kills more than 10 million American jobs supported by the energy industries. It makes the United States once again dependent on foreign countries for energy and massively raises taxes, ultimately crushing the middle class.

The plan holds the same radical socialist ideology of Senator Bernie Sanders and labeling electric cars as “zero emission” is one of the biggest consumer and political scams the left has jumped at yet.
