The Breakdown A Democratic Double Standard

Democrats are eagerly trying to dismiss Tara Reade’s allegations to clear the way for nominee Joe Biden. It hasn’t been as easy for them as they’d like it to be. Not only does Reade have multiple pieces of evidence from those she confided in about the sexual assault, she also just did an interview with Megyn Kelly in which she called on Joe Biden to drop out and said she was willing to go under oath to make her point.

Democrats, at this point, have ripped off their #MeToo masks and dug a hole for the standards they once held in believing and listening to all women. Some who were once heavily involved in the #MeToo movements have even gone as far as attacking Reade with vulgar comments and dispensing the entire thing.

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) is no longer pretending with the facade anymore. She calls the claims against Biden “ridiculous” and said she did not believe a word Reade has said. When questioned about the Kavanaugh trial during his confirmation hearing, she said that was “totally different.”

Feinstein continues talking about the fact that Kavanaugh was under the harshest inspection that we give people over a substantial period of time. She says that Tara Reade and her allegations came out of nowhere. “Where has she been all these years? He was Vice President. To attack him in this way to me is absolutely ridiculous. And so these accusations are very disturbing because they do have an impact on an individual, and every indication I would have is that they would be false until I was shown otherwise.” Feinstein said.

This is the exact notion of a Dem. double standard. Where was Christina Blasey-Ford all of the years that Kavanaugh was in government or appointed to the Federal Branch? To argue that Kavanaugh’s situation isn’t comparable is just a complete contradiction as to what she’s trying to stand for.

Feinstein is questioning everything Tara Reade is saying but did not once question Ford. She even went as far as saying “every single piece of information from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford eminently credible, sincere, and believable,” despite Ford having absolutely no supporting evidence of her story, her story continuously changing, and her “witnesses” saying they have no recollection of there ever being such a party as she claimed.

Feinstein has failed to justify why she’s sitting on one complaint and dismissing the other. She is’t the only Democrat whose opinion changes so frequently. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), one believed to be under consideration as a vice presidential running mate by Joe Biden, also voiced her opinion on the matter. “He’s been forthright. He’s answered the questions respectfully and I’m proud to support him. I think he’s answered all the questions and he’s made clear that he supports her right to come forward.”

Democrats are refusing to acknowledge the double-standard on the topic. At this point the game is “believe women have the right to come forward, but if the politician is a Democrat, oh well.”
