While there have been many things that powerful Democrats have said in the wake of Monday’s brazen FBI raid at the Mar-a-Lago home of former President Donald Trump, perhaps none were as unintentionally revelatory as the comments made by Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
Pelosi was interviewed by Savannah Guthrie on Tuesday about the FBI’s actions, and her opinion. Pelosi claimed that she knew nothing more about the reasoning behind the actions than what was already reported in mainstream media. Pelosi leaped on her high horse when she was asked a follow-up question about Kevin McCarthy, the House Minority Leader (Calif.), remarks asking DOJ Attorney General Merrick Garland to “preserve and clear your calendar” in preparation for questions if the GOP takes back the House.
Pelosi stated that “whatever the leader says is probably inane,” and she added that Democrats will win the House in 2022. She was referring to the progress made by Democrats with the passage in the Senate of the climate, tax, and health care bills.
“But nevertheless, we believe in the rule of law. Pelosi stated that this is what our country stands for”. “And no one is above the law”. “The president of the United States is not above the law”.

Are you serious? We could have been fooled.
It looks like Nancy and Paul Pelosi have risen above the law. Joe and Hunter Biden have no regard for the law. Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton are above law (something Hillary Clinton clearly knows). Jeffrey Epstein’s clients, whoever and wherever are all above the law at this point.

If you walk into the Capitol on J6, you get solitary confinement.
If you burn down a city in a BLM shirt, your charges get dropped.
If you’re a parent, you get treated as a terrorist.
If you harass justices at their homes, nothing.
If you’re Donald Trump, you get raided.

It is important to note that Trump is not above the law. Let’s see if he has done anything wrong and then let the chips fall where they may. However, the problem is that there are different standards for Republicans and Democrats.
In 2004, the disgraced Democratic vice presidential nominee, Sen. John Edwards (NC), soaringly invented a phrase about the inequalities between the rich (and everyone else) and called it “two Americas.” However, what he did not mention is the fact that the United States has a two-tiered legal system for politicians and other public figures.
There are two types of this one: one that allows Democrats to be held responsible for serious breaches of the public trust and one that slaps Republicans with the law, no matter how minor the offense.
Biden’s swamp animals took aim at Donald Trump this Week, and the backlash from Republicans was understandable. This is what happens when the same political party continues to get away with doing unprincipled, undemocratic acts while their political enemies are falsely framed to be dire threats to democracy for simply exercising their right of questioning election results and/or calling for integrity bills in their respective state legislatures.
Democrats have opened the hornet’s egg. They should not be surprised if some of them come back to bite them at the poll box in the 2022 or 2024 elections.
