Roland Martin, a liberal internet news host, declared Saturday that Republicans are evil and Democrats are at war with them on MSNBC’s “The Cross Connection”.
Martin also cheered President Biden’s politically charged “MAGA Republican” speech on Thursday night. He stated, “It’s about time President Biden got rough,” as former President Donald Trump’s evil is spreading throughout the Republican Party.
Tiffany Cross, MSNBC’s host, inspired Martin’s Saturday screed by a clip of Biden’s speech, in which the president decried those Republican “public figures”, without naming specific names. He said that they are “predicting and all but calling to mass violence and rioting on the streets” as a result of the FBI raid at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home last month.
Biden’s accusation seemed to be directed at Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who recently stated that “riots will occur in the streets” if Trump is indicted.
Cross insists on calling out “mainstream Republicans”, not just “MAGA Republicans”, for echoing violence-calling after she has played the clip of Biden. She said, “I believe that’s such an important point: [Trump]’s] followers- Republican – mainstream, establishment Republicans echo these calls for violence, all the while threatening it.”
Martin began to deliver his takeaway. However, he did not forget to point out the red lighting that he used in his room during his MSNBC appearance in mocking Americans who were disturbed by the blood-red background in Biden’s speech. He laughed and said, “I have my red LED lighting because the Republicans are so upset because President Joe Biden-they claim he looked like Russia”
Then he got serious about his next point. “Pastor Charles Jenkins uses a verse in his song, “War”, where he states, “When the enemy comes at you, it’s impossible to fall down. You can’t even break down.” He said that this means war and added, “That’s where we are.” These people are our enemies.
He condemned all Republicans and declared, “These people are evil.” They allowed evil in their home with Donald Trump.”
He demanded that President Biden’s administration take action to address these Republicans. “It’s time for President Biden to be tough. His advisers need to stop being weak and become more capable of fighting back.
Martin then attacked the GOP once more. Martin then slandered the GOP again.
