Loudoun County Has at Long Last Fired Its School SuperIntendant

Loudoun County in Virginia has been at the center of the parent-led revolutions sweeping the country for over two years. Leftist school boards are finally being held accountable for their woke agendas. Scott Ziegler, Loudoun County’s superintendent of public schools, put school children in danger by allowing a sexual predator to continue to be enrolled in school despite warning signs that he might be violent. That male student went on to assault two girls on school property, crimes that were hidden from Loudoun County parents.

A scathing grand jury report on these assaults — and Ziegler’s willful incompetence — was released yesterday. My co-worker provided details on the lunacy in Loudoun.

We reported that the school board covered up the rape of two women by a boy who used the girls’ bathroom and dressed as a girl in 2021.

Astonishingly, the liberal prosecutor in the area actually went after the father of one of the rape victims for attempting to speak out about the ordeal at a school board meeting. Prior to that, he was beaten and arrested by the local police. In the end, the boy who committed the two rapes was found guilty and received a slap on the wrist.

For his role in allowing two girls to be sexually assaulted at school, and keeping parents in the dark about what happened, Scott Ziegler has finally been fired by the county school board. The grand jury determined that “The district was looking out for its own interests instead of the best interests of its students and that the school system ‘failed at every juncture.’”

Here is a quick timeline of events that led to Ziegler’s firing.

May 28, 2021 — Male sexual predator, who wore a skirt and used the girls’ bathroom, assaults female student in bathroom at high school.

May 28, 2021 — Ziegler makes the Loudoun school board aware of the assault.

June 2021 — Ziegler and school board members deny sexual assault occurred on school property at school board meeting. At this meeting, Ziegler tells the parents assembled that “The predator transgender student or person simply does not exist” and “We don’t have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms.”

Father of first sexual assault victim is arrested at the meeting when demanding answers. The father is now being prosecuted by Buta Biberaj, the George Soros-back commonwealth’s attorney.

August 2021 — Male sexual predator, now under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and wearing an ankle monitor, is allowed to attend a different county high school.

October 2021 — Male sexual predator, now at new school, pulls a female student into an empty classroom and sexually assaults her.

While all of this was going on, Scott Ziegler and the school board repeatedly engaged in coverups, hid the truth from parents, and failed to keep students safe. Political agendas and obfuscation were put ahead of student safety. The grand jury found a “stunning lack of openness, transparency and accountability, both to the public and to the special grand jury” on the parts of Zeigler and the school board in dealing with the assaults.

Firing Scott Ziegler would be a good start to resolving the Loudoun County issues. After he had lied about the assault, it should have been done immediately. All school board members who were present at the June 2021 meeting should be removed. The father of the first victim, who only wanted answers to what happened to his daughter while she was under the supervision of school leaders, should be cleared.

One thing is certain: Parents are winning. Accountability is a reality. It is not the right time to retreat.
