Lauren Boebert Trash Talks John Fetterman for Wearing a Hoodie to Press Conference

Lauren Boebert, Republican Rep. of Colorado, criticized Democratic Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania for the extremely casual clothing he chose to wear on Thursday.

At a press conference on Thursday, other senators wore suits and ties. Fetterman was dressed in a hoodie and shorts with sneakers. It was a striking visual contrast.

Boebert criticized Fetterman’s appearance. He is well known for wearing hoodies.

“John Fetterman redefined Casual Friday on a Thursday morning. It’s truly unbecoming for someone to show up like that to any job, let alone a job that only 100 people are elected to do. There’s just no excuse for it,” she declared in a tweet.

Other people also commented on Fetterman’s clothes.

“Incompetent John Fetterman speaking at a debt ceiling press conference wearing cargo shorts and a hoodie. Alana Mastrangelo, Breitbart’s Twitter account, called it “an absolute disgrace”.

Logan Hall tweeted: “It shouldn’t be legal for a senator to dress like this in public.”

Fetterman, who was being treated for clinical depression at the time, returned to the Senate in late October after a long absence.

The left-wing legislator took office in January after beating Republican candidate Dr. Mehmet OZ in Pennsylvania’s Senate 2022 contest. Oz was backed by former president Donald Trump.

Fetterman had a stroke in the year before he won the Pennsylvania Democratic Senate Primary.

Boebert announced this week that she is getting divorced.

“It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband,” Boebert reportedly said in a statement. “I’ve always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult. This is truly about irreconcilable differences.”
