First responders and emergency crews are currently on the scene of a small plane crash in Plano, Texas.
The pilot of the plane has been confirmed to have died in the fiery crash, according to authorities.
On Tuesday evening, around 6 p.m., a Mooney M20 single-engine crashed near Mama’s Daughter’s Diner & Nail Addiction.
Officials confirmed that the only person on board the plane was the pilot.
Aerial video shows that the accident damaged a nearby van.
Air Park – Dallas Airport is located less than a half mile from the accident scene.
The name of the pilot has not been revealed at this time.
According to officials, the FAA and NTSB will be arriving at the scene of the accident on Wednesday.
Plano Police Department has not responded to a comment request.
