Democrats have been all over the place in regards to mask-wearing, lockdowns, and how to “flatten the curve.” They insisted for months that readily available vaccines mean it’s safe to ditch the masks. Then came the Delta variant and now we have to put our masks back on. According to the left, it’s less deadly and more contagious. But it just adds to how wrong they’ve been about everything this whole time.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden’s top medical adviser, recently went on ABC’s “This Week” to promote mask mandates. He even went so far as to say that you are “encroaching on other people’s rights” by breathing.
“The fact is, if you get infected, even if you are without symptoms, you very well may infect another person who may be vulnerable, who may get seriously ill. So in essence, you are encroaching on their individual rights because you’re making them vulnerable,” Fauci claimed.
This rings similar to what Sen. Ted Lieu posted about last week. It has become a liberal talking point to find offense in “breathing,” but they’ve somehow found a way to do it.
“You have NO RIGHT to spread your respiratory droplets on me, on others, in public spaces, and in businesses. The majority of reasonable Americans are going to fight the tyranny of the minority who insist they can leave their saliva anywhere. And we will win,” Lieu tweeted.
The tweet was in response to a post about the evidence that mask-wearing reduces transmissibility. This follows updated mask mandates for all House members, which some have considered an overstep of Speaker Pelosi’s authority. The post claims that masks trap respiratory droplets in which the viruses are carried. But telling people that they need permission to breathe in public is just next-level tyranny.
One social media user pointed out Lieu’s enabled OCD taking into effect. “If you believe normal social interaction to be a bath in others’ respiratory droplets and saliva, where’d you stand on this before COVID?”
Another user adds that it’s pretty obvious from the post that he isn’t concerned with people’s health, but he just hates people. How about a person’s right to not have a severe asthma attack from wearing a mask? It’s a bit of a shock to see people living with this much fear but you’ve got the Biden Administration and mainstream media outlets to thank for that.
Even House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has called the updated mandates unbelievable and “not the America we know.” It makes no sense to place such restrictions on vaccinated and unvaccinated members of the House. The mandates do not apply to the Senate Building. According to Pelosi, only the House has the transmissibility of COVID-19. How about that “science.”
At this point, the left is barely trying to hide how authoritarian they sound. COVID-19 has given them the full plunge into political power and they aren’t letting go of the reins anytime soon. It started with the mask mandates, then the lockdowns, and now with a vaccine available to all Americans they are still pushing anti-science orders. And according to Rep. Lieu, you should think twice before you breathe around him. Or at least “comply” before you breathe.
