Chicago Man Charged in Cold-Blooded Murders of 4 Sleeping Transit Passengers

A Chicago man has been charged with the murder of four people who were sleeping on a train when he allegedly opened fire.

Rhanni S. Davies, 30, has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder.

Authorities said that the four victims were sleeping in a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line Train around 5:30 am when they were attacked.

CTA workers alerted police when the train arrived at Forest Park Station.

Three victims were declared dead on the spot. The fourth victim was transported to Loyola University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Adrian Collins, 60 years old, and Simeon Bhesi (28 years old) were two of the victims. Two other victims are still unknown. They have only been identified as male and female.

Davis fled from the shooting scene but was caught on the CTA Pink Line. The police recovered a firearm during the arrest, according to reports.

The CTA released a statement saying, “This heinous act of violence shouldn’t have happened, regardless if it was on a train for public transportation.”

Police said that surveillance video showed Davis walking into a train and shooting three victims who were seated in separate cars.

The fourth victim was in another car.
