Biden Administration Lets Supplies Sit In The Sun While GOP Governors Are Off To Protect The Border

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey recently shared the state of the border and how it is getting overrun with illegal immigrants, despite the lack of media attention on it. Arizona Border Patrol recently shared that their migrant encounters have increased over 1000% year-over-year and that it is “reflective” of everything happening at the Texas border. Ducey adds that they’ve never faced a crisis that large in 21 years.

Ducey joined nine other GOP governors in a joint press conference to call on Biden to address the crisis and step up with his administration’s handling of border security. While the White House has suggested that there are no solutions or steps to taking on the border, Ducey said that they’ve laid out a comprehensive set of policy actions to end the border crisis immediately. He goes on to say that President Biden has “everything he needs” to stop the border crisis.

“Governors are not going to sit around while President Biden refuses to act. We’ve tried to meet with the president and be part of the solution, but he refuses. No, worse — he ignores governors, just like he’s ignoring the border and the safety of the American people,” Ducey said.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has also called Biden out over the U.S immigration laws and has gone so far as to call an emergency declaration over it in the state. Biden then rejected the request for issuing an emergency declaration, to which Abbott asked him to reconsider due to the “magnitude and duration” of the disaster. He went on to emphasize how the Department of Homeland Security’s strategy to “address the migrant crisis” has not alleviated the need for federal assistance to recover.

The Department of Homeland Security, along with the Biden Administration, has continued to waste supplies along the southern border. There have been a ton of canceled contracts with construction companies hired specifically to build it, along with stockpiles of steel beams that have been abandoned in south Texas.

Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin reveals that there is enough steel to build more than 100 miles of a border wall, yet only 14 miles have been completed. President Joe Biden has canceled nearly every border construction project since taking office.

Melugin even sent one of the Fox News drones overhead in Pharr, TX, where he notes that the steel has been baking in the sun and going to waste since January. “Tens of millions of dollars worth of steel here already paid for,” he adds.

Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott even notes that the administration is paying up to $5 million per day for contractors to not complete the construction. The Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security noted that they are paying contractors to still be “on hold” and not build the border wall.

And when it comes to border czar Vice President Kamala Harris, nearly 75% of pollsters from Convention of States Action and the Trafalgar Group believe she has done a “poor” job with the border. The survey includes 54.6% of Democrats, 80.3% Independents, and 93.7% of Republicans.

The Biden Administration continues to keep the border crisis “hush-hush” even though it has become what most border town communities could not have imagined. Governors and legislators have become unaware of who is in charge, even the ones who voted them into office. Since Biden took office, there has been a surge of migrants flooding the southern borders.

With governors off to focus on the real job, this is a good first step in a long-term solution. Especially when an administration just lets their supplies sit in the sun.
