Behind Closed Doors: Biden Reportedly Furious at Pelosi and Democrats Who Forced Him Out

Joe Biden, the president of the United States, is said to be furious behind closed doors at Nancy Pelosi, the former House speaker, and other members of the Democratic Party for pushing him out of the race for the presidency in 2024.

CNN reported that several sources said he had made his feelings clear to his inner circle. It appears he harbors a certain amount of resentment toward those who turned against him.

Sources did not use the word “grieve” but stated that Biden would not forget those who actively tried to push him out of the race. Although he appreciated the warm embrace from Democrats after his decision, he also had moments where a few of them rolled their eyes at the public tributes.

People familiar with Biden’s mindset say that the process that led to him leaving the campaign has left him feeling both embittered and relieved. Biden, they claim, is still processing what led to his removal as the Democratic candidate, even though he believes he made the correct choice. Biden, according to a source who is familiar with the situation, was upset at the time but did not “spend time ruminating about” it.

The White House, of course, denies that Biden remains upset over his dismissal. Andrew Bates, a spokesman for the White House, said that the idea that Biden was bitter is “not accurate.” He added that Biden’s focus is “on the present and not the past.”

The president’s supposed bitterness has not reached Vice President Kamala, who is the Democratic Party nominee. He is still supportive of Harris, and he wants to help her win the election.

Biden told the people that he was proud of Harris for how she rose to the occasion and replaced him on the ticket. He also said he was proud of the way the party rallied around her, in part because Biden quickly chose her to be his successor.

Biden and Harris appeared together for the first time as their respective lame-duck presidential nominee and Democratic candidate, at an event focusing on drug prices.

Both were effusive with their praises for each other during the event. Harris told supporters to chant: “Thanks, Joe,” that there was a lot of love for President Obama in the room.

The president’s focus is on his legacy and helping Harris win. He also has a five-month agenda. According to the report, he has kept a low profile since he does not have to go on the campaign trail.

Biden revealed some of his resentment towards Pelosi during a CBS News interview earlier this week.

“A number of my Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate thought that I was going to hurt them in the races. And I was concerned if I stayed in the race, that would be the topic, you’d be interviewing me about why did Nancy Pelosi say -why did – and I thought it’d be a real distraction,” Biden told CBS News’ Bob Costa.

Biden is said to feel betrayed by Pelosi, and other powerful Democrats that played a decisive role in forcing him out of the race.

What did he think he was going to get?

The proverbial wall was written after Biden’s dismal performance in the debate against Donald Trump. Indeed, Democrats, members of the activist press, and even Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton turned on him quicker than they did. Tim Walz left the military after it became apparent that he would have to fight in Iraq.

Democrats would have been foolish if they had allowed Biden to continue to lead the party, despite his apparent cognitive decline. Maybe the president still believes he can defeat Trump. Democrats, however, don’t appear to be deluded in this particular way.
