Axios journalist Sara Fischer appeared on CNN and complained about the former president and GOP nominee Donald Trump using an unrestricted microphone on X with Elon Musk.
The entire media complex is shaken by the Monday night discussion, which hails Trump’s unceremoniously booted return to X (formerly Twitter), where he had been for almost four years.
The meltdowns have already begun and he’s not even really posting anything yet. pic.twitter.com/iX43U5tWJE

My colleague reported that a Washington Post reporter had asked the Biden press secretary if this interview could stop because of “misinformation” or something.
In this moment, it would be an understatement for many in the media to lose their minds as X (formerly Twitter owner Elon) engages in a “conversation,” in a “space” on X with former President Donald Trump. Thierry Breton, a Frenchman turned Senegalese who was the EU’s internal market commissioner, spoke to the media earlier today. Breton warned Musk the EU would punish him if he allowed misinformation or hate speeches
This is hilarious and amazing to watch. This media meltdown has more appeal than liberal tears.
Fischer insulted a whole group of voters who will never watch CNN or read her online scrawls.

They hate the fact that they’re on the outside. When Fischer says “Online fringe,” you can hear her sarcasm. She dismisses a huge and untapped voting block.
The “edgelord influences” are a group of young, MALE voters who are devoted to TikTok and support alpha males. Who knows how many people tuned in on Monday night, since Trump and JD Vance’s running mate JD have been talking to these influencers as well as appearing on their podcasts. Over 30 million people have already listened to Trump’s X discussion with Musk.
Many of these people are either undecided or pay little attention the the legacy media. They either ignore the Kamala coronation or treat it as if she had three heads. But what about the legendary former president who survived a failed assassination?
This is a win that shouldn’t be overlooked. Alyssa Griffin, The View’s Alyssa, also responded to Trump’s move with confusion and dismissiveness.
Trump:
-gets back on Twitter
-does interview with Elon
-puts out ad about the Mar-a-lago raidHe’s doubling down with his base. It gains him nothing with undecideds/ swing voters. Bizarre strategy 3 months out.

Trump:
- Gets back to Twitter
- Interview with Elon
- Releases ad on the Mar-a-Lago Raid
He is doubling down on his base. This strategy does him no good with swing/undecided voters. It’s a bizarre strategy three months in advance.
Farah Griffin, and others of her kind, find this bizarre. The voting bloc Trump is aiming at with this X-interview wouldn’t bother tuning into the screeches where Farah Griff wastes her time.
How can she be so certain that this will not gain anything with swing and undecided voters? These people don’t respond to debates and media noise. They are not the majority of this demo. What about a discussion where Trump can lay out his policy, explain how the assassination attempt affected him, and define his opponents? This is a conversation they could be drawn into.
Who knows how many minds and hearts are being changed when Trump is heard as a conversational and non-adversarial person?
I am amazed how these young girls who pretend at journalism so easily dismiss the voting bloc that don’t bother to watch CNN or The Spew. https://t.co/fjM5BYv2PQ

The legacy media are so busy rebranding Kamala and causing trouble for Tim Walz, they can’t even see the brilliance in this pivot. X is one of the few platforms that aren’t trying to ignore, misrepresent, or drown out Trump and his message. Trump’s X interview has, much to their dismay, blown a huge hole in their propaganda wall, reaching voters they didn’t even know existed.
