Sole Survivor: 8-Year-Old Miraculously Survives as Bus Plunges off Cliff, Claiming 45 Lives in South Africa

Authorities in South Africa reported that on Thursday, a bus carrying worshippers to an Easter Festival slid off a bridge. It then burst into flames. At least 45 people died.

According to authorities in the northern province of Limpopo, there was only one survivor. It was an 8-year-old child who was receiving medical attention.

According to the Limpopo Provincial Government, the bus had gone off the Mmamatlakala Bridge before plummeting 164 feet into a ravine and bursting into fire.

The province reported that search and rescue operations were ongoing, but many bodies had been burnt beyond recognition. They are still trapped inside the vehicle.

According to authorities, the bus traveled from Botswana (a neighboring nation) to Moria, which is a town that has a large Easter pilgrimage.
