It’s hard to deny that Democrat politicians are very consistent. They always find God when they are caught for wrongdoing. Bill Clinton walked out of churches in the Lewinsky affair, always holding his Bible closest to the camera. Eric Adams, the embattled New York City mayor who was in the news on Sunday, took the pulpit to express his sympathy with the congregation.
Adams was charged with federal charges of bribery and campaign finance. Adams’ legal team filed an appeal on Monday to dismiss the charge of bribery. Adams visited two churches in the Big Apple, where he promised not to resign but to “reign.” Adams made a strong statement at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Reformed Church of the Bronx:
God placed me in this moment and placed in my heart to continue to move this city forward. And so you’ll hear the small number of loud people saying, ‘But he should step down.’ No, I’m going to step up. I’m not going to resign. I’m not going to resign. I’m going to reign.
Adams spoke for about 30 minutes without taking any questions from the reporters. Next, it was on to Staten Island for Mt. Sinai United Christian Church. The congregation prayed and warned that “storms” would be on their way.
Adams replied, “The question is, how true is your religion?” “I’m asking people in this city to let me continue doing this job.”
Adams’ pilgrimage began Friday, after his arraignment. He visited a senior center where Adams prayed, a Queens church where he spoke about the “power of prayer” and a Gospel concert in the Bronx.
Adams faces charges of accepting luxury travel bribes to ensure that the Turkevi Center, the Turkish House (a 36-story building), passed despite safety concerns a New York City Fire Department inspection. Federal officials are investigating whether Turkish officials, business leaders, and others conspired to support Adams’ mayoral campaigns in 2021 and 2025. Court documents mention possible wrongdoing dating back to 2016. Adams is accused of defrauding taxpayers of $10 million over the past decade.
Good luck with that. The zealous prosecutors are the Democrat party enforcers.

Eric Adams, like every American, is innocent until proven otherwise. Could his sudden legal troubles be due to something else? Adams blamed Republican Governors in April 2023 for the arrival of busloads of illegal immigrants to New York City, and other Democrat cities. Adams continued to blame the federal government specifically President Joe Biden for not doing enough to help the cities where the immigrants were arriving. Adams stated at the time that:
The president and White House have failed New York City in this issue,” “This crisis is the biggest humanitarian crisis that this city has ever seen.” This will affect every service provided in the city. Why aren’t all elected officials in Washington, D.C., questioning the national government, “Why are you doing this?’ to New York?”
Adams said that the indictments were retaliation against his outspoken criticism of Biden’s immigration policy. Adams made the following statement in a video:
The federal government did nothing when its flawed immigration policies overloaded the shelter system and provided no relief. “I put the people in New York ahead of party and politics.”
Would Eric Adams be facing federal charges if he had never spoken a word on how the Biden Administration handled the illegal immigration crisis? It’s hard to say. But then, there’s Rep. Henry Cuellar. Cuellar, who represents a district that is located along the border in 2021 criticized Joe Biden’s failure to visit the border to witness the crisis. Cuellar, his wife, and their district were indicted for federal bribery and foreign influence charges.
According to the NY Post article linked above, not all of Eric Adams’ constituents buy his churchgoing. One woman said at the senior center, “They were praying and s-t.” This prayer isn’t going to work for the devil.
On Wednesday, Adams will appear in court. Adams could be sentenced to 45 years of prison if convicted on all the charges.
Eric Adams has now been indicted. He should probably go stab someone at a New York subway station so the prosecutors release him quickly.

NYC Democratic Mayor Eric Adams indicted by Biden-Harris Justice Department. As the Biden-Harris Justice Department is notoriously corrupt and political, color me suspicious about the whole mess. pic.twitter.com/YAhNklEhEb
