Sen. Rand Paul Takes The Next Step To Get Fauci Fired

U.S Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been working endlessly to call for the firing of Dr. Anthony Fauci and how his actions misinformed the public throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Fauci is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a top Biden Administration advisor. While he can’t be removed from his post, legislation can eliminate his federal salary. Fauci wasn’t chosen or elected but seems to control how most of how we live our lives today.

Fauci constantly misled the public on many health mandates including mask-wearing, how the virus is transmitted, and recommendations as data changes. Fauci’s credibility went out the window after thousands of pages of his work emails throughout the pandemic were released. The emails accused Fauci of knowing that the virus originated in a lab in Wuhan, China and that he knowingly funded gain-of-function research.

One of the key Republican lawmakers Sen. Marsha Blackburn even suggested that Fauci’s handling of the coronavirus shouldn’t only get him fired but thrown in jail. She said political considerations have had an influence on Fauci’s decisions and statements and that he was fully aware of the problems with the Wuhan Institute of Virology. She said Dr. Fauci was fully aware that the Obama Administration started sending funds to the lab in 2014. Of course, any time Fauci dismisses claims against himself, he dismisses them as “attacks on science” too.

Even Rep. Madison Cawthorn is suggesting legal action against Fauci for breaking his oath not only in Congress but as a Doctor. He says that he stands by his statements that justice will be served. Cawthorn told Fox News that Fauci was a “punk” and a “pawn” to the Communist Chinese government. When asked to elaborate, Cawthorn explained that several Republicans, including Sen. Rand Paul, believe Fauci lied to Congress under oath that no gain-of-function research was funded by the United States at the Wuhan lab.

Paul has continued to present evidence that the National Institute of Health was funding research in Wuhan. They even showed the exact numerical series of numbers that goes with the grant numbers, but Fauci has continued to deny misrepresenting the gain-of-function research to Congress. He said he’s never had a regret about “telling the truth” or “doing my job.”

Cawthorn read out the U.S Code sections 1621 and 1001 of Title 18 as the “two relevant legal standards” about falsifying or concealing information before a congressional committee. You may be fined or imprisoned for up to five years. Sen. Rand Paul tweeted that he would be sending a criminal referral letter to the Department of Justice about Fauci, in which Cawthorn replied that he supports Paul’s efforts to hold Fauci accountable for lying to Congress.

“This self-serving bureaucrat deceived a nation and hurt hundreds of thousands of Americans & their businesses,” Cawthorn wrote.

Paul reached out to Attorney General Merrick Garland about a criminal investigation into Fauci and included the testimony on May 11, when Fauci denied under oath that the NIH funded gain-of-function research.

“I write to urge the United States Department of Justice to open an investigation into testimony made to the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions by Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, on May 11, 2021,” Paul wrote to Garland.

Even members of the U.S intelligence community started leaning towards a lab leak hypothesis after the Chinese lab provided zero transparency and zero accountability during a crisis. Fauci covered the EcoHealth Alliance grants for the Wuhan lab and quickly dismissed the hypothesis as ‘extremely unlikely.” But Paul pushed back on the theory and even claimed that the research in the lab fits the definition of gain-of-function research.

Health decisions are not political decisions, but Fauci doesn’t seem to know the difference.
